AwwwHa shade cloth! great idea, we only have H.D. out here, but moving forward I will look it up on line and see what I can get

I just finished ,wrapped this West corner so from 4-9pm the sundown wont cook things -

and got a BIG camping tarp for the south wall- so 2-9pm is better covered

That will help a lot! I put the shade cloth up last summer because I needed to introduce new pullets and that corner of the coop/run was exposed to hot afternoon sun. It lets air breathe freely and you can see through it so I left it on.

Bought a nice small shade cloth for the girls not sure like in the run outside the pop door first one for the little coop then later get a bigger on for the main coop

you folks are getting hit with some crap weather. Local news says that many folks living there do not have AC. Is that the truth?

That will help a lot! I put the shade cloth up last summer because I needed to introduce new pullets and that corner of the coop/run was exposed to hot afternoon sun. It lets air breathe freely and you can see through it so I left it on.

I just finished adding one more tarp to the middle, hiking up the big camping one on the south wall to let air pass through- it is 101 in the coop and the door is closed and the chicks are out,
its 98 in the run
