Ive been seeing that people think there is a lot of waste to feeding crumble vs pellets

You can cut down on waste by wetting the fines and treating them to porridge. You will have more fines with a crumble than a pellet, at least that’s what I noticed.

Since I feed them the fines wetted into a mash almost every afternoon for "snack time," I don't see much waste at all. I use up the fines as fast as they settle out to the bottom of the feeder.

That’s what I do too! Usually I don’t have enough fines every day with pellets though. I sure did when I got crumbles.

No loss of feed here but use feeders of my own making

Good morning! Another beautiful day! DH says it was 51 this morning. He said that’s getting too close to the 40’s for him. He’s wearing a tshirt, sweatshirt, flannel shirt and a Carrhart jacket. When it gets to the 40’s he’ll be adding a hoody.

Me too I cannot regulate my internal tempature well so often wear more layers ..

Got out this morning and edged the driveway and front curb. Started to get hot, so I came in. Will work on weeding the front

beds this evening. Came across a huge spider - ugh, I almost walked into the web while weed eating.
