But you've torn it...so need something heavier?
:lau Not yet but it's only a matter of time.
I'm a lot like Meg with respect to the cold; I don't function well when cold. Very cold and I don't function at all.
The older I've got the more difficult I find it. So I'm looking around at what people who live in the cold wear. Search on the Internet and you get endless recommendations for smart lets go skiing, or hiking type stuff. I've had some of that and at the prices I can afford it's crap basically.

silk is good - unaffordable new, but maybe you can pick up something in sales or charity shops? It may also work against thorns; at least, the huns used silk shirts as armour. An arrow might penetrate but would take the silk in with it, not cut it, so that by gentle pulling on the silk the arrow could be withdrawn without the tangs catching any innards. Or so I read somewhere anyway!

Hello Perris.:)
Are you flooded out?
When I can afford silk I'll be able to afford to pay someone else to do the cloths destroying stuff.:p
:gig:yuckyuck
hello Shad :frow
Very wet, but not flooded fortunately - we live half way up a hill, and the run-off runs past, not through us, temporarily turning the lane into a river, but that's OK .
I occasionally manage to find a silk top at a bargain price in TK Maxx - do they exist in Spain? (Called TJ Maxx or similar I think in the US, so maybe under a slightly different name.) I've found they really do keep you cool in summer and warm in winter. Haven't tested their sharp-containment abilities as yet :D

Good morning, CC.
Winter was insulted by all the "non-winter" comments so far this year and is now making up for lost effect.
We have winds gusting to 40 mph, snow and the temp dropped to below freezing and will hit near teens tonight.
