Our apple crop got wiped out by a surprise May deep freeze. Actually, all fruit except grapes and some late figs were demolished. Makes for less work in the orchard, though.

Going to make zucchini bread today.

If you have a preference for chunky applesauce, do you also prefer lumpy mashed potatoes? (Survey time!)

mashed potatoes mashed by hand--not turned to wallpaper paste by a mixer--small lumps are ok

Yes on both! I make potato leek soup and they say to purée it with a blender. No way! I like little bits of tater in there. Same with applesauce, chunky with lots of cinnamon! Or better yet, pear sauce!

Made the fritter of shredded zucchini they are great make sure to drain the water off zucchini it is a supper good step I missed I wont do it again

Princess was up and out of the house by 7 AM to see grandson play baseball. Even with masks and social distancing I refuse to go.
