I'm younger so I had a little bit of this growing up, and it now only exists in my moms neighborhood a tiny amount - I guess what brought the households together was having similarly aged kids, and now the kids are adults so the ties have weakened.So, I've an observation / question for y'all:
This pandemic has really put a stop to almost all compassionate neighborly behavior I was raised with and taught to share. How do you feel about this self observation?

I expect so.... Grated it was also a semi-off the cuff post..... So....I agree it has to a certain point. Depending on where you live will dictate the way people react.
Here in the small town of Hollister, Florida, neighbors will come over and they do maintain the social distancing.
I feel you will get a better look at the circumstances as others reply to your statement.
