Wowsers, what a late start this morning. I think I'll make a cup of mocha shortly.... But, it's a slightly different way. I'll use carob powder instead of cocoa powder.

So, I've an observation / question for y'all:
This pandemic has really put a stop to almost all compassionate neighborly behavior I was raised with and taught to share. How do you feel about this self observation?

I'm younger so I had a little bit of this growing up, and it now only exists in my moms neighborhood a tiny amount - I guess what brought the households together was having similarly aged kids, and now the kids are adults so the ties have weakened.

I havent re-established it as an adult because it doesnt seem to be a thing anymore. The demographics of the city are so varied. Even now, we are a "farm" but a subdivision is on one side of us so the most interaction there is new people complaining about our animals. Or us going to the guy down the street to get compensation for his dog killing our chickens (that stopped after we got animal control to pick him up 😇). I'm definitely not in a farm town haha.

I agree it has to a certain point. Depending on where you live will dictate the way people react.

Here in the small town of Hollister, Florida, neighbors will come over and they do maintain the social distancing.

I feel you will get a better look at the circumstances as others reply to your statement.

I expect so.... Grated it was also a semi-off the cuff post..... So....

My neighbors aren't friendly. I've been living here just over 50 years. One of the original folks says hello to me and sometimes we talk a little. I see he is having a lot of improvements done on his house, I'm guessing he will move away.

He has wanted to move to Florida for years now. But his 5 married daughters live in the area and says always want him to do work for them. He was an electrician. Hope he gets to move while he can still enjoy it.
