I used to love the spring forward. Hated losing an hour, but having the sun set an hour later. It gave me more time to do outdoor things after work.

Now that I'm retired and have chickens, it means the birds will be up an hour later and I can't go to bed at 7 and read.
When I worked, I worked nights. I hated the spring forward- we always jumped from 1Am to 3AM with meds and stuff. I love being retired. Almost never set the alarm- I get up when I wake up, but that is never the same time. Sometimes 3AM. sometimes 8AM - never after 9AM though. All depends on when I go to bed- if the book is good, I can stay up most of the night.

Good morning ya'll. Up and about today, coffee in hand. Maybe gonna take the second cup into the chicken yard or the patio- the day looks beautiful. Every morning, my hen Lily flies/jumps over the fence and meets me at the patio when I go out to feed the chickens. She usually runs ahead or just behind to the gate and runs in as soon as it opens. Penny and Jasper, my dogs, have not bothered her. Today, Penny planted herself in front of the gate and whichever way Lily approached, she just stood there and would not let her pass. I guess her version of keep away. good grief.
