My sisters stopped by and one of them actually brought that up. She just did 23 and me so was talking about the cilantro thing. I think it tastes like soap but I like it anyway. :gig I also adore green olives, which I always chop into my green salad. I’ve also heard that as you age you better tolerate bitter but I’ve always loved green olives so I think I’m just a glutton!

I love green olives.

Good afternoon one and all!

Water, tea, and condiments are ready for your enjoyment.

Have a great day!

I'm running late again today as I took my husband to Jacksonville for an appointment.
I hope you got some good news!

We just had our first harvest from the garden: a few leaves of cilantro for our tacos! I can see how some people might think it tastes like soap.

My step-dad was born in 1914, and when he was growing up, if you didn't like what was for dinner, fine, someone else would be glad to eat it. He once got food poisoning from a can of corn, and got very sick. From then on, if corn was dinner, he would go hungry. He didn't eat corn again until he was in his 60s.

In high school, we had an experiment in science class. The teacher passed out some slips of paper and told us to chew them. About half the kids could taste the chemical that was on it, and the other half couldn't. I did, and it was, yuck, spit it out! bad. The non-tasters looked at us like, huh? what's the matter?

Good morning and thanks for the coffee Sour 😊

That was the way I was raised. The only problem I had was liver . 😧 I could not stand the taste of liver. 😦 I would cut it up in very small pieces less than the size of a pea. I would put the small bites in a spoonful of mashed potatoes. As I chewed the liver got bigger and bigger. The least I can say is that I don't eat liver, but I will cook it for my husband.

I didn't like liver growing up, but I'll eat it now, Bob cooks it with lots of onions and it gets tender. Our son will cook and eat liver, but our daughter, doesn't even want it in her house.
