Hi, friends! Everything is alright, thank you for asking. We are certainly due for some good coffee!! And yes... How could I not bring pastries?

Behold... My new... Orange Pound Cake! It looks a lot like lemon, and it is the same recipe, but isn't as tart and it was actually more moist! I intend to bake it for Thanksgiving!

How are you all doing?

The other day, two Chickadees hit the kitchen window. My Father helped one, I got the other, and they caught their breath before flying off. I've held birds, but never had the pleasure of holding our magnificent state bird. Nature amazes me.

And indeed, I wasn't sure what to expect when they hit the window, but it was wonderful to see them regroup and reunite with the rest of nature.

@The Angry Hen I'm glad to hear that you are doing ok up there. It rained over here off and on for 3 day's, and what we went though is headed to the N/E. The upper part of Arizona even got some snow. I bought 3 Barnevelder 3 month old pullet's a couple of day's ago, and had to put them into a wire dog crate when I got them back here in between bought's of rain. The sun is out today, so I'm going to see if they would even show up for a picture, because they are so dark colored with that thick lacing on them.

Such a Sweet Bird... We have then visit our feeder.
That White Pine on the right is beautiful. Have one growing in the back yard. DS got it when he was in 3rd grade. (for Arbor Day) Each student got one. It is probably 30 feet tall. I would like to plant another and have it grow bush style and less tall.

@BlueBaby Did you attend the boat racing this year? I remember you posting last year. Is it still coming this year, or it is past?
