AND I LOVE THIS - - - I would like to she the recipe for millionaire shortbread !

I've never played FRONTIERVILE, BUT I have heard that it is highly addictive . . . .
Is it bad that BYC is the first thing I do in the mornigns and the last thing I do at night . . .Talk about addictive . . .
I have a regular tissy if I don't get my BYC fix . . . .

I camp to, but it is the old fashioned tent camping. I want to upgrade to something with a/c. It is just so HOT in Florida, that I think we would camp more if we could cool off a little. . . We like to fish, walk, bicycle. HOWEVER, you do need a spot to cool off when the outdoor temps are 90 - 100.

TODAY is is mid 70 - to low 80's and I am thinking about putting jeans on because it is so COLD.

Hi Math ace - You make me laugh!!!!!!!!! Your temperatures are like the heat of our summers!!!!!!!!!! You are cold bless!!!!!

( Remember we were in Florida and were really hot and folk were putting jumpers on!!!)
DH and I love fishing and the outdoor stuff alot to though it is harder to do that sort of thing with Danny these days.

Tescos - Well its kind of like Wallmart - they do ok choclate better than the cooking stuff as that is really Yuck. You would probably get away with just melting a good bar of your favourite chocolate. - girls NEED chocolate!!!!!!!

YES you are addicted to BYC - your insanely dependant on your fix everyday - oh yeah - I am toooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks, ladies- that is one of my favorite pictures of my little guy. He was not quite two, and he was so pleased with himself for climbing up onto that tree stump. He did it over and over, aplauding himself every time!

Tartnick - all I have here at my office is yogurt, and I am quite envious of your baked goods. Maybe I will bake something this weekend - the girls love baking with me. Maybe we'll try that shortbread. Hmm....

Math Ace - isn't this weather great!!!
woot.gif
I sat outside for while last night just enjoying the break in the heat. I love fall!!
A guy around here designed a frame to put in the window of those vans that will hold a small AC unit in place. Before next summer I may invest in that. It doesn't bother me to be in the heat most of the day, especially if we are doing stuff around the water and can take a swim, but sleeping in it is just too miserable.

And yes, I'm afraid I am also addicted to BYC.

Have a great day, BYC addicts.

Last week we were over 90 - - - So, it is almost a 20 degree drop in temps basically over night . . . we are suffering from temp shock . . .We haven't had temps this low since APRIL . . . OMG 5 - 6 months of temps over 90 . . . I am so ready for fall !

Morning/Afternoon People,

Weather: Rain (am), clearing (pm), mid 60's, woke to pouring rain and 62 deg's

chics in the sun: looks like you have one happy camper there.

I can remember, way way back when... We went camping in very early spring and had a cold snap. Everything froze, water, food etc. The better half bundled the old rat (she was about 3 - 4yrs) up so much, that when I gave her a piece of bacon, she couldn't bend her arm to get her hand to her mouth. It was funny and fun........

We are just getting back into tent camping. We have done a lot in the past. All through the New England states, NYS, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, Quebec. I have a van now, affectionately called Vinny, after "Vincent van Gogh". He goes with us on our hiking and camping trips. It's a AWD Astro van, 2000.

Personally, I love winter hiking. There is nothing like being on top of a mountain after a new snow fall and the only tracks are yours. The sun raising or setting on the horizon, crisp clean air to breath, the air as clear as can be. So far the worst part is keeping your water from freezing. You have to keep the bottle you are drinking from on the inside of you clothes.

I have a question for you ladies over yonder, your unit of measure "g" is for weight and/or volume?

Enjoy the day, we are off to Ithaca

Well - the dream is here - Sissy
Yes girls DH picked up the campervan this afternoon. So we are now the proud owners of Grotty!!!!!!!!!!
Actually she looks quite good and I think will scrub up fine. Will doubtless get some photos in time. DH has dismantled the inside already!!! He is like a wee boy!!!

Our neighbor came over to admire the new Camper - Poor Raymond has been told by his wife he has to get rid of all his chickens because she saw mice!!!!!!!!!
How sad is that! He was upset but understands as they have a new baby girl who was born 4 weeks before our Jessica - so I guess Raymonds wife is concerned for the child. - Anyhow I got mice too - I have decided to wage war every so ofter and put loads of traps out after my girls are in bed for the night. I don;t want to be catching their feet!!! We borowed Sam the white Leghorn from Raymond so I guess he will finally go - and he was a lovely bird. But I can;t have Roos. Raymond said we could have our pick of the young Pullets he has. DH jumped at it so Ithink we may take a dander and see what hes got. He has some weird looking birds but Raymond interbreed so a deal of them are mutts. Also he put all ages together and that meant he lost a few babies. - So I may have more chickies - My chicken Math is developing - He He !!!!!!!

If all else fails I can always move them into the "grotty" campervan!!!! -

I'm still kickin, just not so high these days. You know how it goes, if it rains it pours and it has been every which way. No sense whining though is there?

I've posted pics of a brooder or incubator, I'm not sure which yet, that my SIL 's dad gave me. It's still in my van. I haven't had the chance to clear a place for it and the two brooders he gave me.
