Coffee's ready...

Aww.. poor Karl. Why did she get mad - just doesn't want to deal with your chickens? My BF got annoyed the other night while trying to herd all mine back into the coop. I had to explain that you have to herd the EE babies in first, THEN the big girls - if the EE's see the big girls standing in the doorway, the won't go in and they take off running all over the yard. I really think the one has Leghorn in her. She's so fast. I ended up doing it and he calmed down.
Hope the water cools for you. Make dinner tonight or something.

I have NEVER regretted taking time off to be with my sick children. NOTHING is more important than our little ones. Don't let work or the people from work give you a "guilt trip" over being a good mom. You know from what you do for a living there are an awful lot of bad / poor parents. I have always believed that work could EASILY replace us with another worker, but our children can NEVER replace us with another mom . . . ..

Enjoy this time at home with your sick little one. The time investment will pay off greatly as he grows up AND you will never REGRET the time you gave them. . . .

Does he have an ear infection ? If he does, the fever may return again today.

Yes indeed I agree with that math ace -

Chicks - your boy is the most important little person in the entire world !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Being a mom of grown up kids - I can honestly say to you this is the time to invest, the time to be there for your child. Time goes so fast and they grow up far too soon. If I could turn back the clock there are many times I thought work was more important.

I worked long hours in the youth service and then later in the Ambulance service. I was always on call as I did a lot of transport for transplant co- ordination work. So you can imagine it was very stressfull. But it was NOT more important than my kids. How often the beeper would go off and I would go running leaving my kids. As teens they did well and handled caring for Danny and all that and they were well trained up in First aid skills - BUT I was not there a lot of the time and neither was DH when they needed us. Our kids really did suffer for that and sadly I can;t get that time back. Although it was a rewarding career and yes lives were saved - it was not worth the cost of the time I should have invested in my own kids ( As math ace wrote, someone else could have taken that shift when my kids needed me at home!!!!)

So never ever feel bad about taking time off for your boy. He is your world and YOU are his!!!!!!!

I do hope he is feeling better for you.

Thanks for the reminder, guys! There is just so much I need to do at work, it makes me feel guilty no matter which I end up doing. My little man is number one, of course, but the girls (and a few boys) need me at school, too. But I know I made the right choice to stay home today. He doesn't seem to have a fever (yet), and he says his ear doesn't hurt anymore. I think it was just conjestion. I am letting him watch his Scooby Doo movie for the third time in three days, just to get him to sit still more and rest. Otherwise he is bouncing all over the place.

Glad the wee man is feeling better.
You are doing the right thing. - the kids at school - YOU ARE NOT THEIR MOTHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hard I know because you have a strong mother instinct but others can help them too. ONLY YOU can be there for your boy. NEVER EVER put anyone elses kids above your own kids needs - its hard but your responsible for him and ultimately him alone. I learned this the hard way.

She "the wife is hard at work and has forgotten the breach of ethics. I may have lucked out on this one. I'll bring home some spumante to top off the evening and hope she doesn't remeber about the chicks in a bad way.

As a woman, I need to let you know that WE NEVER EVER FORGET . . . .. SHE is still thinking and it is a momentary "timeout". You might want to go with osedog's advice. The longer she thinks , , , ,the worse it will be !

Don't let her stew to long. I find that men normally calm down after they have had a bit of time to reflect - - - BUT it is NOT the SAME with a woman!

Good luck,

Well I finally got photos of the CAMPER!!!!!!!!

This is the camper all done up and ready to role.
Only now she is done up DH says he is going to sell her or upgrade for a bigger one! He just loves the projects I think!!!!!!!

I have not put anything in it yet or made it anyway homely but I think it looks grand and DH did a good job restoring her and cleaning her up.

Well what do you guys think??? Should we see what we can get for her and try and get a bigger model - 5 berth????
