I did take mommy and chick outside while I was watching. The mommy rolled in the dirt and taught the baby what to do.
It was GREAT. If you can give her access to the dirt from where ever you are keeping her now - - they will be so cute and entertaining. The momma should cluck and call everyone to her when DANGER approaches and she won't have to work so hard to protect the little ones from the grown up meanies. !

Morning/Afternoon People,

Coffee's ready, trying to decide: Pancakes & Bacon for breakfast or supper?

Weather: woke up to 47f and raining. Today, rain and into the mid 60's.

The "son we are glad we never had", had his closing on a house yesterday. Calls up, "Uncle Peter", can you help out with this, and this and this and some of that......From laying a basement, to interior wall work, a handyman house. It's good for him, it will get him out of the rat hole he is in now. He has 2 daughters (the oldest 5yrs, is scared of me. She see's me coming, and goes the other way. His youngest doesn't know better yet, she's going to be 1 this sunday. I'll give her time).

Did I tell you about the chant, the ladies have for me"
What do we want? " A coop"
When do we want it? " Now!"

Good Morning everyone - - -

TODAY, I am doing laundry (What's NEW ? ?), taking dad to the dr. , doing a LITTLE grocery shopping, and getting ready for the weekend. When I say "getting ready for the weekend" it means I am writing everyone's "honey do" list. . . .
I give each person in the family (young and old) a "Honey do" list and no one gets to play until the list is finished!

Laundry 7 - 9
Rx and Dr. 9 - 12 (only time I regret living so far from civilization)
grocery shopping 12 - 1
weekend list ALMOST DONE.

This afternoon, I am hoping to get a little work in the garden done and I need to do some research on the computer.

In between all this, I need to turn the eggs a half dozen times.

Growing up in a family of 5 children my dad did the same thing - - we had a poster board on the side of the refrigerator with our chores listed..........to this day I get my work done before I play!

Good Morning folks,
Im up. Nuasues (whatever) from the new pain meds, I'm gonna eat some toast. Anyhow it's raining here again and I'm not happy. I have things to do out there and hate the rain. It's getting colder and I just don't have everything done. Folks around here are getting colds and I hope I don't. No one takes care of my chickens lkike I do. (yes I know there may be some musspells but you can figure them out. LOL.

I'm getting ready to buy some wazine17 to worm but I hate to use that stuff. Brids aren't laying good anyhow so it's means tossing 4 or so eggs a day from 20 or so birds. I will order exprinex but the wazine is the only thing I can get here. I may wirte to TSC and see what they can do about putting a poultry med section in. I suggest you all do the same.

Oh gotta say DD in TEX came home for Columbus day and she's with child. First for her and DH. Say a prayer all goes well. I hate that she's in Tex as she's the one I planned to live with when i get old. Course I am old. I wish she and dh would get saved, still they are both respectful. His mum and dad will most likely be moving to tx and their nice and all but they have money and we don't. Plus they just had the two boys so this is a big deal for them, same as DD and SIL living here.

Pleeeeeaaaaassssseeeee pray that DD and SIL here get saved too, it's taking it's toll on my stress wise cuz they're never gonna earn enough to live on or make the right choices unless they do. See that's the thing about God He helps us make the right choices, if we listen. He knows what's behind each door, if you understand my metafore. When we don't listen we make the wrong choice but when we look to Him He tells us which do the car is behind. Get it?

Well gotta go make that toast.

I'm new to this section of the forum - it's delightful! Every morning I grab my coffe and check BYC before going out to watch chicken tv. In so far as worming - you can always scramble up the eggs and feed them back to your chickens. They would love it!

I think I've become a chicken addict. I've been invited to a "candle party" this weekend. A good friend is having it so I feel compeled to go. But truthfully I would much rather be hanging out here, winterizing my 2 coops and playing with my goats! I'm turning into that crazy hermit chicken lady!

Rancher - good news! Will pray as ever.
Was thinking I would share this with you all today.
Isn't it funny when God gives us wee gifts??? You know when your low and struggling and the world seems a darker place????
Well today I got one of those gifts.
The lad you all know with the Brain Injury walked in this morning with a huge carier bag!!!!! He had been asked by one of the lads if he would help off load a catch they brought in at 5 am this morning. Dear love him he worked so hard !!!!!!!! They gave him a massive bag of Prawns to take home to his mummy and they are giving him some money too! If he is a good lad and does as he is told the local lads are taking him out to help work on the day boat out to get Prawns!!! They are good to him here as they know he has Epilepsy and brain damage! SO that was really good.

Anyway Just about my fav food of all time is prawns so I cooked two massive pans full and I have not stopped eating them since!!!!! - There are so many!!!!
No one else likes them!!!!!!!! -
