Good morning chicken wranglers
I appreciate the offer rancher but I could not do a good job incubateing the eggs. I do not have time to devote to it.
Chicks a very good job on the aviary. I'm impressed.
Q I would not waste good eggs and unless some one is making money on that I just don't understand!
God Bless!

Good morning chicken wranglers
I caught a channel cat last night that was 22" long,I caught several channels but he was the biggest. The night befor I was out fishin and a little frog" about 5 inches long jumped up on the bank and sat there starrin at me so I gigged him and stuck him on a hook,I complemented the hook with 2 bobbers because of the weight and cast him out to temp somthin to try and steal my hook from me. Low and be hold the line was hit and almost pullled the rod into the lake.Igrabbed the rod and comenced to reeling as hard as I could but the pull overpowered the drag and the line kept going out.Well I played it as long as I could but soon the line snapped and I lost the line bobbers still attached to the line.Well last night as I was sittin on the bank shor nuff here comes My bobbers swimmin in my direction,I grabbed my trusty gig and tried to snag the line but to no avail.I just went ahead and sat down on the bank to patiently await the dusk and catchin of more cats when my line went taut and there was my bobbers along with the other bobber, 3 in all. Excitedly " I do not know what for because by now I should have realized that no earthly line was going to hold this creature lent me from this abiss or bonny lock or wherever," I comenced to a reelin for dear life.Well if you cannot guess the outcome, my dialouge posesses nairy enough forshadowing. The creature headed my direction and as my heart twittered and pumped blood through my veins coursing, I swear strait to my eardrums,My excitement throbbed greatly even as my pole bent in twain. Then as easily as the prior eve it turned and snapped the line escaping with yet another of my bobbers. Now I had 3 bobbers traversing the length and breadth of my lake with no hope of recovery or succor for my rent ego.I recovered from this tragedy and returned to the task of catching more fish. You must have figured what happens next.
Even as I cast out the line my 3 bobbers surfaced and headed straight for the fresh bait and although I knew it was an exercise in futility I struggled with this dennesine from the deep once again only to have my line snap this time returning all 4 bobbers as some sort of twisted concillation in return for totally shattering what was left of my already bruised ego. That fish is still in my pond and I am now consumed with the fishing fever.I will not give up until after laborday or I have caught that demon fish whichever comes first.
God Bless!

Great fishing story, Karl!

Gave me a good laugh this morning. Good luck catching that monster!
You may have to wade in and grab him, southern style!

Good going on the awards! Was it the county fair?
I'd have to go in with a spear gun and a whaling vessle.

Morning People,
That was a good fish story Karl. When you catch the fish, are you going to mount it or have it for dinner? The biggest cat I have caught around here might top out at 12 - 14".

ParadiseFoundFarm: Congratulations on your winnings.

chics in the sun: How's your job going?

Enjoy you day

Our pullet - great color in her tail, very fluffy cheeks and nice stance (It's the bird on the left, not the birdbrain on the right)

Pretty Boy, our prise roo. He is just coming out of molt, not all feathers have been replaced yet and got knocked out of first, I belive since I could not ask the judge, for that issue.

This is the cockerel - I don't know why he won 1st place but the judge does (I wasn't allowed to speak to him even after the judging)

And our second place hen "Bitsy". She didn't grow as big as the others because we almost lost her as a pullet and I babied her back from death. The dog had a hold of her and was eating/plucking her. We named her "Kibbles and Bits" but "Bitsy" was easier. She is small, like a pullet, and had little color in her tail but was in good feather at showtime

This is the cockerel and pullet as babies.

At least we are breeding 1st placers. We have around 30 now, but I still like to toss them under my arm and walk around with them. They are such great pets too. Here's DH with PrettyBoy in the kitchen just hanging out

Learned a lot at this show. Could have learned much more. Will try again.
