Morning people,
Looks like more rain this morning. I hope all this rain isn't a indication of what is to come this winter. I like snow but........ Yesterday felt like a classic fall day, over cast, smell of drying leaves, dampness in the air. We are starting to think about putting our bikes away and digging out our hiking gear. We haven't really done any hikes this summer. One or two here and there, but mostly biking. We tried kayaking this month, and the better half feels comfortable in one. So.... it looks like next year we might be throwing kayaking into the mix.
We can't at this time really have any root crops in the garden. We live on top of "modeling" clay. I have to get someone in here to cut a french ditch from the garden to the drain ditch to drain away the water.

Good morning chicken wranglers
Q I had a typical fall day yesterday love the leaves and the smells too.I can hold off on my desire for the snow though.I need to set more fence for the cows soon.The corn is cut and they can use the extra graze right now.Need more ambition to get it done though.
Yesterday we were going to spread mulch in an effort to landscape the yard.We got it all prepped,put down cloth with stake sand all.WE had had the oldest girl get the mulch Friday afternoon,.She got the cheapest that they had it was full of trash .Wasted day!

Last week the weather let us know that winter is on its way, and we need to start preparing. This weekend and today were beautiful, wonderful weather.

Good morning chiken wranglers,
I've just returned from up mby you gargoyle.I spent 2 days in kenosha Wi. Looking at some work projects.
it was 80 yesterday and I awakened to 42 and rainy.There was a plan for us to go to the uhion railroad museam this weekend,but I'm leaning towards going to a waterpark that is all inside so the children can have a great time while I rest.

It is cold here, cold cold cold. I am into thick winter woollys and jeans with fur boots! Anyhow time for coffee I think as I need to get the lad up. Its gone 10 am and time he was out of his pit.
DH is really sore but I threw him out to the Photography field trip anyhow! Mean as I feel I don;t want him moping about the place when he will feel better out in the air doing something with others. I feel my holiday was a world ago now but the good news is Danny has his first overnight restbite care on Monday night! So DH and I can rest and enjoy for a change.

Gargoyle - when can I come see the studio and chooks??????? Darn I am clear out of planes and boats right now! You will just have to keep posting pics! Karl hope you go and check it out!
