Coffee's ready...

I just wanted to pop back here and post because this is my 1000th post on BYC, and I wanted it to be in this thread.

I took this picture in my backyard on a foggy morning this May..

Ooooh, I just changed from "overrun with chickens" to "chicken obsessed".

I went back and looked at the source photo, you're right, it was Feb., not May. Pre-dawn, I took this one the same time:

Been very busy 2 weeks. 27th Saratoga race track worked hard at it but finally lost my $20. 28th Pick up DD at Albany airport. 29th take friend to Albany airport and cook for DSL's B'day, Had close friend die. 30th Prep the bulletin for the funeral service and Usher at Theatre Barn, Lebanon NY. 31st haul trailer to Gunstock Resort in Guilford NH to camp for weekend for DN's wedding,
3rd break camp, drive home, go to calling hours for friend, finish preparing bulletin and go the church to run off 130 copies. 4th drive DD to Albany airport for an 11:50 a.m. flight, drive home and to church in time to serve on altar for 11:00 a.m. funeral. Rest of week is a blur. I know we had an ushers picnic on Saturday - Sunday served on altar for dead friends daughter, went to breakfast at Old Country Buffet (coupon b1g1) grocery shopping, drop DW at Red Hatters function, end up having company for dinner (Fresh Corn chowder made with very mature corn) collapsed.

otherwise not much.

sounds like Oes is in Spain.

I had my coffee this morning in windy Alberta! BC has some fires west of us, so yesterday was a smoky hazy day, but this morning the wind took it a long way east. Just wanted to say that I had a nice surprise while slurping coffee in my go cup on the way to the coop to do my chicken chores. I was lamenting over the loss of one of my Old English bantam hens, when she came out from under one of our farm buildings with 5 new chicks....as small as my thumb! I quickly gathered them all up, and set them into safer circumstances! Now there's a little sugar with my coffee for this morning!

The basement still needs all cleaned out,and I will move the save able junk out to the newer barn.Good plans good intention and strong willed diligence should get me about half way through the plan .Unfortunately there is still only 24 hours in a day and 48 in a weekend.
