Coffee's ready...

Yes, frozen water in the glass, a down filled feather ticking, and hair on my head back then. 'Next day clothes' were kept in the kitchen and that is where I dressed. There was a tin roof outside the South window and what a comforting sound it was to hear a gentle rain echoing off of the roof.

That was another lifetime ago.

We all have memories even our young people I suppose.

I remember picking black berries and now wish I could find as many. Drinking from the spring that filled cow bowl. The farm was long gone.

I should be surprised we survived.

One of my fondest was laying the pillow on the window sill and falling to sleep looking up at the stars. In the morning the pillow would be down on the ground.

Good morning chicken wranglers,
Radiators and frost, I remember well the clanging and the whistling steam. We had cardboard windows and the frost was not as visible. Do you remember the winter of 67? the snow on the ground and the reflection of the aurora borealis? we could see the glow even in central Il. What a blizzard and I had to walk to school anyway sometimes it was so cold my eyes would water and freeze shut when I would blink oooh those were the good old days.
God Bless!

Is that a mouse trap? If so that's a small weasel. What was the bait? Well done.

I've heard on other threads doubting it's a weasel. No it is not a mouse trap. It is a rat trap. I used some Kentucky fried chicken bits. It was frozen to the garage floor.

I will take better pictures for everyone. I don't know why it is not white or small. I suspect it hadn't grown up yet.

You can google "Weasel Traps" and find videos on Youtube on building weasel traps. Rat traps are part of the trap. Weasels do not get big like Otters or Beavers.

The pet known as Ferrets are just domesticated weasels.
