it may be taking a chance of losing them.
Scoop I hope the headache is gone
and to you and all flock tenders
injoy What you can, when ever you can.

Morning guys! The coffee is on!!!!
Well, my DS did not get a car - yet! I think I may have discouraged him from pursuing the 76 Lincoln Town Car and now I feel horrible. It really was a beauty and looked well kept, no rust. He is now looking at a 1985 Ford Wagon. It's in ok shape. We took it for a test drive and I was surprised at how much power it had. It's got a couple of issues but I think it was garage kept for a good part of it's life. It just doesn't have the rust and pitted chrome you'd expect to see. He could get it for a song I think becuse no one is looking at wagons. Well, it's his money and his decision, I should just be quiet I guess.

Karl - I would try to let the older duck be a mom to the little ones. Sounds like she wants to adopt them! Oh wait, I'm rereading your post and you are saying it's a goose that wants to adopt? That is just so cool! I would let her. It sounds like she knows there is a need!

No egg sales yet. I think I need to turn my signs more perpendicular to the road somehow. People probably are not seeing them. Oh well, the cats are once again getting fat with eggs.

St-Hubert - Did you ever notice when the weather is nice the workweek can go even slower?

Well, have a nice day everybody!!

Good afternoon chicken wranglers
It was a hard morning. The goose is still there taking care pof the ducklings. I will let her hang around but I have been advised that I won't be able to clip wings if I turn them loose and they will migrate come winter, and I am raising them for eggs."and dinners!I saw a wild turkey go into the corner wood last friday I guess that we have more wild life then a smalll town bar on saturday night around our place this year. It is 3:15 and I'm still on the coffee.Ready for a beer "miller 64".ya'll have a good week!

Good morning chicken wranglers
well I wish I had a 76 lincoln for my DD to drive. Well built in those days as I recall. Scoop, Really he will find the right car. My first car a 1960 plymouth valiant " push button drive"State of the art in 1975 when I started driving.
I have to tell you the gooose is stil there and I am amazed I fed the little guys and she let me close but wartched with a jaundiced eye and a rueful hiss Everyone have a great day God Bless!

Morning everyone! Anybody else drinking coffee or am I the only one???
idunno.gif

Well, my son bought the station wagon. He's pretty happy with it to say the least. This is his 3rd car - I know -
ep.gif
(to clarify - he owns a total of 3 cars now) He knows what he wants and I'm so happy for him. It's a shame we don't build cars like we used to. When you compare these old cars to the new ones, boy, you just realize how far we've come. Karl, how bout those long hoods on those old Lincoln Town Cars? Like today's Smart Car is shorter than that hood I think!

How's momma goose doing Karl? Boy, I'd love to see that!
Sissy - watchya doing lately? Have time for some coffee? The birds keeping you busy?
Laura - I'm hoping things are better for you now. Are you going to the auction? I'm so envious that you have one so close. That's about 34 miles from me. I might go to an auction with my son this weekend. Not sure. Sometimes it's just for something to do!

Well, guess I got to go mow the grass! Have a nice weekend everyone!

Flock Tenders where are you all
Scoop, where did you run off to. the brewing coffee
got me off and running to try and catch you its delicious. and
yes your right the flock has had me busy
watching to catch a preditor
but low and behold
its my hens which ones I dont know as yet all my hatching eggs
are gone I did have a total of 25 I have never had hens
to eat eggs but I have checked and checked and thats the only
thing I came up with the help of Ozark Hen.
I even put golf balls in the nests thinking if its a snake it
would eat the golf ball and Dum de dum dum . no more snake
but all the golf balls are there.so I have been busy
double wireing the coop .

He is on his way to
becomeing another Jay Leno car collector.

Sissy You need to find a trail cam borrow one from your best deer hunting friend and set it and that will end the mystery .Scoop the goose is still on the job. Iam just amazed by her loyalty to the ducks.Y'all have a great weekend God bless !

Good morning everyone! I actually slept in until 9!!! I can't believe it! I'm usually up waaaay earlier, but oh well! I guess I was tired. I just put on a pot of Chase and Sanborn. We were at Wegman's last week and got some Chocolate Raspberry coffee

but I only have a little left, so maybe I'll put that on later.

Scoop - It is funny to see how different today's cars are from "yesterday's" cars. I went to high school with a kid that collected station wagons. I hope your son has a blast with it!!!My DH has an OLD time race car, it's a 1937 Ford. It was actually my dad's but my brothers aren't interested in it. So now, we just found out that there is a race track being made about 5 miles away from us that is specifically for the old time cars to run on. Pretty neat. I'm just sad that my Dad won't be able to enjoy it. There aren't really many places that you can take the old cars out.

Sissy - I agree with karl, maybe a trail cam would be a good idea. 25 eggs seems like a lot if the hens are eating them.

I have seen 2 of my hens eat eggs that were broken, which really ticks me off, so I definitely need to keep an eye on that situation.

karl - that's neat about the goose taking to the ducklings. Just as long as you don't get hurt!

I think we'll be headed out to the auction later. I have an appointment at the post office today at noon to get my passport so I have to get my butt in gear. I have chicks hatching out like popcorn in my bator - 9 hatched overnight and 2 more are hatching out! I've never had more than 3 hatch at a time, so this is unchartered territory for me! I made a few changes in the way I incubate, and apparently it's working. No more hand turning for me!

Have a good day, everyone!!!

WHAT a BEAUTIFUL Day - - - got my cup of coffee and went outside. Did some transplanting for my garden and then came back in and made another cup of coffee.

Just finished making breakfast - - homemade biscuits and sausage gravy - - - - yum yum good
