Coffee's ready...

Chics, I'm sorry about the school issue, that is truly a pain. I know that here the teacher staffing ratios are different for kids in diapers/pullups vs. potty-trained kids. The preschools we looked at actually had an iron-clad policy of a certain number of accidents per month disqualifying the kid, so of course we had one that refused to train until over age 3. On the bright side, he was perfect after that, but I know that doesn't help your child care situation. I tend to agree with Math Ace-- your son might be better off in a school with less of a reputation but where he's not seen as a kid with the problem.

Good luck to you.

My peditrician said that boys are famous for taking longer to potty train. The little muscles just don't work as well as little girls.

Hope you find some place that is more concerned about the child than the bathroom abilities!

Thanks for the support and good advice, everyone.

Karl, he will be four in April. I know I should proably switch him. He just loves it so much there. All his little friends. He's so proud of himself - he can write his own name now. I just wish they had told me ahead of time that this issue was a deal-breaker. I would have looked for a different place to start with. Like I said, I made it known to them that he wasn't perfect in the potty training department when I enrolled him. We'll see how the next few weeks go. I'm supposed to register for next school year this month, too.

I'll decide before the end of the month.

Well, not a whole lot going on today. I got a certificate for a facial for Christmas, so I'm going to get that done. Also going to the gym - trying to take off the holiday pounds, and maybe a few more after that.

My pants don't fit, and I've got 5 pairs of jeans I can get on, but are really not flattering.....

Have a great day, peeps.

We just shoveled out from under 6" of light, fluffy snow. Maybe 2 hours of shoveling for a 200' driveway, which is not bad at all! I miss clam cakes, and the bay being 15 minutes from my house, and the weird and lovely people of Rhode Island, but I do love the LIGHTER inland snow! And NO ICE! We hardly ever lose power, even out here in the boonies.

Hope you all are warm and dry!

I bought some Bigger ones at Christmas. . . Just too much on my plate right now with Family. . . . I try to be good, but at the end of the day I have learned not to beat myself up over this one too much!

When I was young, I had time for me. . .
The kids need me and my dad needs me A LOT right now. . . . .
When my kids look back 10 years from now - - - I want them to think about all the things I did for them, not how good my pants fit.
In 10 years from now - - - when my dad is no longer on this earth, I don't want to regret one single thing I did with him INCLUDING his very favorite - - ice cream cones!

Got one of my rat terriers on my lap right now covered in a blanket cause he was shivering and acting funny last night. The blanket has helped a lot. He's eleven and usually tough as steel.

I guess everyone's trying to lose weight right now, myself included, lol!

Mornin' everyone!
