Karl - to put it in perspective from a male point of view my DH said the highlight of the day was the view of Catherines sisters backside disapearing into the church holding onto the end of Catherines frock. - MEN!!!!!!!! Honestly!!!!!! I just said its a good job they didn;t choose me or they would have had to widen the doorway to get my backside through it!!!!

I don't mind the royal wedding stuff being on, but I turned on the tv to get the local weather forecast at 7:55 when it should have run, and when I turned off the tv at nearly 9 they still hadn't run the weather. That is too much wedding for me.

The bride was beautiful. At least she and William know each other. Princess Diana marrying Charles, who she barely knew, and all that followed, were just too much tragedy... I wouldn't want to be royal for anything - no privacy, no free will, nothing...

That little donkey is adorable! Great picture of your son, too, Oesdog. I thought of you and Karl while driving home from the camping trip yesterday - there was a cow trotting through the field with twin calfs trotting along behind her.

I candled both the eggs the broodies are sitting on and the eggs in the bator, and so far it looks like I am doing surprizingly well. I didn't figure out until I was nearly done that you can see the insides better if you shine the light on the end of the egg, so I may re-check some in a few days. If they are almost all developing than my plan of letting Sky finish hatching the ones in the bator may not work, as there will be too many. Plus I can't see into the 6 Marans eggs very well!

Well, camping was absolutely wonderful. What a beautiful park. I'll post a pic later. The springs were great, the sites were nice and shady. It was actually really cold on Friday night, and we were completely un-prepared and woke up off and on all night like shivering. It must have been 20 degrees lower than what they said it would be - down in the high 40s or low 50s, and all I brought were the lightweight sleeping bags and T-shirts! Some of the bags were heavy enough, and we had an extra one so I stuffed one inside the other and finally got some sleep. Unheard of down here.

I am taking a road trip to pick up some eggs today. I have some shipped eggs on the way too.
This will be my LAST hatching until the fall. Then I might do one more!

This will be my 7th hatching since Nov 2010. I am sooooooooo over hatching chicks!

Tell me Oesdog what is the scuttlebut in the UK about all that?Oh yeh I can't get this thinmg to post pictures of fly or floating cows yet!I too wish the best for the young royals and have a certain amount of sympathy for their lack of privacy.Sissy noice to hear from you!How goes it with your hubby?

I find it very hard to accept that when I look at news real from areas of our country all you can see is Muslims not a white English person anywhere!!!! - I don;t understand why a good deal of them who have supported Osama Bin Laden openly are not rounded up and deported? It beggers belief that they are still here???? There seems less and less of our country and way of life left to white Christian British born folk. Recently one fellow was told to take his cross from the dash of his vehicle????? Incase it offended folk of other faiths????? My grandfather gave his life in WW2 at the age of just 24yrs so that we would not be invaded and could live in peace and practice freely our christian faith in our own country. Now I look at things and I think well we have been invaded and no one seems to want to do anything about it. I don;t care if folk think I am racist for saying these things.
I hope they Ban the vail here - I have no problem with girls "wanting to wear one" - if they feel that strongly then they should leave our country and go back to their own. If they cannot embrace our language and way of life then they should not be allowed to settle here.
I think we should do what the french have done and Ban it. Funny thing is its the young folk here who want to wear it. - sadly the girls abroad who are forced into it would gladly burn the darn things. Some folk simply do not appreciate the freedom Britain has afforded them and if they don;t want that then maybe they should go home!!!!!!
