Good morning, folks. Had two cups of coffee so far, and ready to focus. I played hooky today to watch the eggs in the 'bator and under the broodies. I hope I counted the days correctly. I included the day I set them, which might not be accurate. But last time that's how I counted and they hatched out on the day I figured. Since they aren't my eggs, I feel I need to be sure the broodies don't freak out when they hatch. I haven't heard any peeping yet, but a few of the eggs in the bator are jiggling.
Now that I've done some cleaning up it is time to work on updating my resume and making a few contacts. I do believe I may still have a job next year, but I don't know if I'll still be doing what I want to be doing in the school system. I'm going ahead with the plan to open my own practice with my friend at least part time.
Sorry to hear about your cow, Karl. Sometimes I feel like I should get my son a dog when I watch him trying to play 'fetch' with the cat, but then I get on BYC and decide against it.
Here is our aviary so far - we made good progress this weekend -
The pond turned green within days, so BF is working on getting the algae out. The ducks don't seem to care.....
