Like this "two headed" goat I saw while driving in Alberta a few years ago?

Here's another shot of Goldie & Mossy, they were checking out the new coop before the new little chicks moved in.

Well not exactly like that goat - the extra head was at the tail end instead of a tail so poor critter simply would not have survived. I do like the goat shot and your chickens have 3 legs now????

You make me laugh!!!
I had a chick with 3 legs too look ! See the legbar on the right he does have 3 legs one by his head and two underneath.

Good morning people,
I hope everyone is doing good. It's been a good spring so far. Our little rat bought a house up north. A 1922 farm house. Prior owners dumped a lot of money into it, then lost interest. Funny thing, she wants to remove some of the modernization that they did. She is also getting married sometime next year.

The old rat is taking a month off from playing, which I am happy about. My father was up your way Ose, so she has been going to his house and playing in the water.

The garden is growing, meaties are getting big, eggers are laying.

Well I am ready for a nice cup of coffee I think!!!!!
Last few days the OES was off his food and that is not like him. Didn;t take him out the last few days as it's been such bad weather here and his coat is grown out. Takes a darn week to dry!!!
So this morning got him all sorted and went to take him out and he near collapsed on me. Well he is a big old hound to carry home I can tell you! We got him to the emergency Vet and poor old Murphy has a bed chest infection. He had the biggest injection and now we have to go back tomorrow. His breathing has been a bit bad and he was terribly sick but so far he seems a bit brighter. So thats my day so far! You all know how much I love the OES! Vet thinks it will clear up but can;t think how he got it. We don;t let him get wet and cold when he is going through the long coat thing.

So poor Oes is ill .

The new chooks are happy in their home, and they'd getting comfortable with me. I remove the separation and let the two big girls mingle with them for an hour a day, they're getting used to each other. (the big girls are making sure the little ones know they are the bosses, of course; but I don't let them get too mean).

Good morning chicken wranglers
Well my appologies for hiding out lately.
My dog got into the ducks nest and ate 11 eggs that my broodie was lovin on.It is my fault because I didn't put her up when the little guy showed me where the nest was.She got wind of it and ate all the eggs.Boy was i mad.I scolded her and scolded her.Well lucy is still n her brood and I hope maisy does not get those eggs.We are feeding and watering her right there so she does not have to get up at all for any reason.

Guys it is real bad with the OES - been back to Vet everyday. The vet was treating him for the chest but now is pretty sure it started with the heart. The heart isn;t woring the best right now. He has had injections everyday and is now on heart tabs and more tabs today to try and regulate the heart. No nothing just rest for Oes.
Anyone know anything about hearts in the Oes breed of Dog???????
I am worried sick think the vet will call it if he can't do much else? Murph isn't doing to good right now you can see him struggling. This came on really sudden he was always a healthy chap who loved long walks etc. - Think I am gonna lose the Oes guys - Not 4 months since I lost Mum with her heart -

Oesdog so very sorry for your present dilemma,praying for your dog.One of my good friends is in the hospital right5 now with a heart condition.It started as a cough and the Dr. gave him med for bronchitis.He ended up having an infection in the heart and had to have emergency surgery,2 valves and part of his aorta replaced,We are praying for him also.

Yeah it is kind of hard because there is little you can do. Just wait really. Mum died 4 months ago from a heart attack and DH had a heart attack 2 yrs back. He has stents in and angeoplasts but still has a problem with the heart. We are for the cardiac unit next week again for DH! I guess I could take the Dog? Dotty our girl has heart issues too so it is all raw really and Murph is my boy - I love him so much as you can see by my avatar he is the most beautiful fur ball!!!!!

Oesdog ate a bit tonight after a week of not eating!!!!!! He looks a wee bit brighter and the heart rate seems a bit more steady - keep up the prayin!!!!! God is an anagram of Dog! I do I do I do believe in Dogs!
