Coke, Pepsi, what's the difference?

There is a simple reason why Pepsi tastes okay when it is flat and warm . . . because that is it's natural taste. I think Pepsi makers just steal Coke's formula, water it down a ton, and leave it in the sun for a few weeks.

I only drink water, milk, and juice to be honest. Once you quit drinking cokes* for a bit, you start feeling sick every time you have one. I don't complain . . . there's a reason I haven't had a cavity since I rid myself of baby teeth. I do hate how tossed cokes taint the local honey. The bees swarm around the trash cans and neglect the flowers, and you wind up with honey that leaves much to be desired. I've tried some of that sugar cane Coke, though, and I dare say the honey wouldn't be quite as bad if we manufactured that stuff, instead. It's noticeably better.

*carbonated beverages . . . to a Texan, they're all cokes.

i drink a liter of soda every day and i've never had any tooth problems, never had a cavity in my life. it is pretty unhealthy though, i'm more worried about my joints & cartilage, so i take a lo of vitamins & supplements after drinking a liter. i REALLY REALLY want to try this sugar cane coke

i live so far north (Alaska) we get so little shipped up here from anywhere. i'll have to stock up the next time i visit the states whenever that may be. it's likely i've never go to the states again, but that give me at least ONE reason to want to!

This is a coke-drinking house. If a restaurant only carries Pepsi, I choose something else.

A liter a day? Ouch, my head would be hurting. My mother has to have diet coke every day, and gets as grumpy as if she was quitting cigarettes without it. She drinks it as soon as she wakes up in the morning . . . I worry terribly about her joints and whatnot, especially since we're skinny and white (higher risk factor for bone and cartilage problems with that combination, apparently). Besides calcium, what supplements do you take?

And yes, you really must get your hands on cane coke, if at all possible. The idea that you can't taste the difference is such a crock. I'm glad I don't live in Mexico, or I might be tempted to adopt your habit of a liter a day.

I LOVE Coke and HATE Pepsi... though I like cherry Pepsi better than cherry Coke? I think Coke has a more complex flavor and it's not so sweet as Pepsi. Yummmm...

I agree with the water. The best part is that it saver me $10 when I take the family out to eat. Once in a while I drink a rootbeer.
