Thank you, that is just what I will do. I really need to get going on building more pens.
And let them try all season. Last year my 2 year old purple male was infertile early on, but later in the season, he produced. I hatched 2 nice Purple Pied males in August, all eggs were clears in May and June.
 
I hope you are right, it would be nice if they could pay for their pen. My Spaulding BS pair did not produce one fertile egg last year, she only laid about eight eggs, but still none were any good. Now, he is looking even better this year.

Very nice peas I really like the rooster he retained all the good stuff and will make beautiful chicks with that hen. Good job

I will try to get you a better picture of her real color. There is an amazing amount of green and other colors mixed into the body color.

I was worried about them not being the 75% Green I was told at the time of purchase, still not seeing it, but nonetheless, he is looking better all the time.
