Color?

Are there different names for different colors of peacocks? If there are what are some?
Also, what color is my peacock?

first your is a india blue male ...he will need to be 3 yrs old before he get a full train.


at the bottom of my chart are all the colors and pattern........13 colors 5 patterns ........with these 200+ Variety can be bred.

How long will it be before he grows his long tail feathers? He is about 7 or 8 month old now.

He will get his colors and a short train(what most call tail) at 2 yr old ,need to been 3 yr old to get the ong train, he will breed at 2 yr old if you have a peahen.

I would not keep them with your chickens as chickens can carry diseases that can kill peafowl . Females usually breed about 2 years of age...
