Colorado here - anyone else?

I recently moved to Ft. Collins from NH. I grew up raising chickens and other barnyard critters and I'm now looking to continue this tradition in CO! I want to start with just a few laying hens, as I only have a small backyard and I don't want my neighbors to complain about crowing

Does anyone know where the best places around here are to buy some chicks?

Alright little cimmaron We ar in th same town, and from the sound of your scren name I am guessing that we both are on the East side of town. I live like 3 and a half miles from th New elementery school Outside of town. I am betting you are around th is side as well hugh? I am kind of excited because there has been no one from here on here forever. I am also betting I might know you, yopur avitar shows a familar face.

We live in St Mary's Glacier.
25 chicks coming from Ideal in May.
Don't know what I was thinking, I should have had them in Feb for eggs this season. Darn
But we still have 8 feet of snow and more blowing around.
Our first winter here, makes Minnesota look mild!!

We are in Black Forest, north of Colorado Springs. We have a nice trio of pure araucanas and then a mix of many other pure breed chickens. We have one little mille fleur d'uccle roo that is the sweetest thing, but just a pet for my seven-year-old son.

I am an incubator addict and am desperately searching for bantam naked necks if anyone knowns of any. Nice to see so many Colorado folks.

We don't get to shows or swaps much but would love to hear of any coming up.
