Colorado

Wendell, Very glad that your daughter is ok.

Adam, Hope you get at least a few chicks from your experiment!

Pozee, Maybe you are the one to put a stop this this outfits shed ripoffs! Never know. You might try flagging any and all of his CL postings. I saw he had ads in one of the other areas of the Colorado CL, maybe Eastern or High Mountians, now not sure. And maybe even one in UT CL. If he is running a scam, someone needs to stop him.

Chester, There is All Beed Rescue is in the Colorado Springs area, and several Great Pyrenees rescue in Colorado . Large dogs are easy to find, they are harder to rehome.

Shylee, Love your little trio, very tempting!!!!

Update on the shed debacle:

I read Guillermo the riot act on the phone today, he had me on speaker phone so his framer could hear, and it was immediately evident the framer had either not gotten proper direction or had not understood it. I ranted about the horrible quality of the studs, the split and broken ones in particular, as well as nails missing studs, and he asked me if he could bring me new walls on Monday. I said absolutely not, I wanted my money back. He discussed with framer a minute and then said he would bring me four new walls on Friday. I said, if they are not here on Friday or if they are not correct, we are done, I want a full refund immediately. I agreed to this last opportunity to make it right because the floor they built is actually pretty solid, as are the roof trusses, but if he makes me start all over by either not getting here Friday or not bringing the correct walls, I will unleash. He will be flagged and reported everywhere I can post a negative review.

Rant over :)

Wendell, I hope your car repairs are going well and that Heather is feeling okay, and of course that Beth and the rest of the family are doing well also.

Chesterchook, I am so sorry about your dog. Suncatcher is right on, large dogs are harder to place and usually more readily available from rescues. My personal preference (if I were to get another) is a dog at least 6 months of age, and to me the best age is 2 years, because they are beginning to outgrow puppy brain and less likely to be impulsive. I wish you well in your search.

I am glad to hear he wants to make it right!

What a day. got all the bad parts off the car by 9:20 AM, and picked up a friend, then dropped off our younger son Eric at his job. then we drove to Denver and got parts off some cars in the junkyard. Drive back, picked up Eric, then on to the house. Got everything installed except for the headlights and the battery. Hood, left fender, bumper, a couple of frames. radiator. We are tired, but it is a good tired.

Hope all goes well with the shed.

does anyone happen to have a pattern for chicken diapers? I just had to order 1 because i don't have time to figure out the right way to do it for myself before needing one.

my sons class wants to see a live chicken/egg/chick so we're making a visit to the school soon. I don't want the chicken to poo all over so she's getting a diaper and i'm putting her on a leash. lol. The chick can stay in her box.

I have a pattern I have come up with, and it works. I'm not 100% happy with it yet, but it works. The costumes in this picture are a modified form of it:

So I found someone on Craigslist that will sell me 18 hatching eggs for 3.50. They are OE EE and something that lays a chocolate egg, I'd assume most likely a Marans or a Welsummer. Not sure who the Roos are I asked waiting for a reply. I don't mind mutts as long as they lay pretty eggs :). That price is cheaper then what I payed at the grocery store for the eggs I'm trying to hatch right now! If this batch of store bought eggs go south I might take her up on it. The incubator is holding temp wonderfully. Humidity is at 38% so I am happy with it. I had to put a blanket over the viewing window to keep me from looking at it every time the light flashes on.. I'm worse then a cat!

Should I candle day 4 or should I wait till day 7? I know there are going to be infertile eggs and I don't want to wait too long and they explode.

Day seven or ten. I waited to chuck until day 10.

Has anyone heard anything good on local craigslisters and the chicks they are hatching? The one in peyton and in black forest. I am in the market for a couple of chicks that my girls can raise. It will be a learning expeeience for them.

Wow Wendell what a day. Am hoping Heather is doing ok sometimes day two or three you hurt worse.

Pozees stick to your guns. There is no excuse for that kind of shoddy work.

Dennarahl love their costumes. Do they "super" names?

My blue/green egg tonight was lighter than the others - could I have another EE starting to lay? Ooh I hope so!

The chickens themselves, no, they're just Bowie and Lucy. But their alter egos are Super Chicken and Cluck Kent. :)
