So we lost our Whiting Blue roo this week. Apparently he got out and the ranch sitters couldn’t get him back in. Anyone happen to have any Whitings sitting around they would be willing to pass on to us? My kid is very sad and has one on her Christmas list. I told her it may have to wait for the Easter Bunny!

I don't have any blues, but if you are looking for a roo I have several Buff Orpingtons.

I just saw a post on the "Critter Swap Falcon (Colorado)" Facebook page for Whiting pullets. The poster said she hatched them so maybe she has some cockerels too. Might be worth joining the group to ask.

Yeah, pullet(s) only. I guess it will be the Easter Bunny, which is probably better anyways.

I have some cockerels 5 - 6 months old I need to find good homes for. They are Buff Orpintons I raised from eggs. I also have a Buff Cinnamon.

Basically I currently have one mature hen and the roos are now wanting to mate with her. For some she may be their mother. But I do have two I can safely allow to mate with her. I need to break up this party.

Happy New Year! I hope your flocks are doing well this winter (the cold has been awful lately, 7 below when I let them out this morning), and the egg production ramps up soon! I think I've only got one active layer right now, but that's one more than a week ago!

I am zero eggs for 3 weeks now. I miss my homegrown eggs.
