It definitely sounds like you are in a loosing battle. I was lucky enough to have a landlord who was up front with me. I would probably do the same thing in your position. I had thought about not paying rent long and hard, but ultimately decided I still needed her reference to get into a new place so...

It's official that both of my cuckoo marans are roo's. Got video of both of them crowing this morning. Dang I so wanted some dark eggs, but now my laying flock of 5 birds is down to three birds, that will never do. I think I'll make the run down to that lady who posted on craigslist for chicks for a $1.00. Long way to go to get chicks but she did say she would trade a couple of her babies for one of my cockerels since that is what she is needing.
Can we post video on here? I haven't tried yet. The dueling marans is very funny with their adolescent crows.
