Frostbite: My little d'uccle Little Man had a pretty bad, frostbit comb Monday morning. I grabbed my tube of A&D ointment (swear by this stuff) he just stood there whileI slathered it on. By yesterday morning his comb was looking fabulous. The black spikes were a barely there light gray color and today it looks even better.

Ok, I need advise. My banty group is going to be shrinking down. I am caught in something of a catch 22. I want to rehome my Silkie babies, already have a taker on the one pullet. But if I do manage to get the two boys new homes that will leave me with two birds in the coop. Will two be able to keep each other warm enough? Especially since one roosts and the other snuggles into a corner? I can try and keep one of the little Roos but I don't know when he will decide to start crowing and being in city limits that could be a problem. :/

Tonight I went down to put the girls into the coop about 10 minutes ago (so around 5:25pm) it had already gotten dark fast, and I found all 7 of them pressed up against the sliding glass doors. I picked up one of the little girls and she started swakking like I have never heard before. I walked the 15 feet to the coop, and right as I put her in a HUGE owl swooped down right near me. It was probably 2 feet from my head. Then I had to hand carry each of the other girls to the coop while the owl watched from a tree limb. Tomorrow night I definitely need to get the girls in earlier.

Yes, Greeley is by far better. Here is the break down. I called all over to get pricing just a few weeks ago so they may have changed a bit, hopefully not by much.
I ferment my feed so it doesn't matter to me if its crumbled or pellet it all looks like a mash in the end.

Bennet
Layer Pellets: $13.50 50 lbs
Hen Scratch: $13.25 50 lbs
Wheat: $22.00 100 lbs
Flaked oats: $13.50 50 lbs
Cracked Corn: $22.00 100 lbs
They DO NOT offer layer crumbles, chick stater or broiler feed.

Greeley: bulk feed is 500 lbs minimum with $14 tote deposit just bring back the tote & they don't charge you that fee again. All the 50 lbs figures are bagged feed and there is no minimum just the 100 lbs.
Layer mash 16%: $23.14 per 100 lbs
Layer pellet/crumble: $13.84 50 lbs
Hen Scratch: $10.63 50 lbs or $17.58 per 100 lbs
Chicken starter non-medicated: $29.17 per 100 lbs
Broiler feed 20%: $16.89 50 lbs or $29.17 per 100 lbs
Cracked Corn: $21.56 per 100 lbs
What I like about them is when I asked about a chick starter they said they would have the nutritionist call me back. She asked me about how much protein I wanted in it. If I wanted any grains in it. Everything will come non-medicated unless you ask that it be medicated. We also purchase our grain here for our horses too.

If anyone needs help in your area with pricing I'd be happy to do the research and make some calls.
Is this pricing for non GMO feed?
