Colored Rangers Grow Out Journal/ Video Added pg 11

Cornish Cross's grow faster than Colored Range Broilers. There is no
disputing that.

No feeding restrictions are required with Colored Ranger Broilers,
formerly called Freedon Rangers.

This thread is a good place to ask questions about Colored Range Broilers
but we should not get into a debate about Cornish vs Rangers here.

Check out this thread for good comparisons. Brunty, Bossroo, Greyfields,
myself, and many others debate the qualities of each bird. There is a lot
of good stuff there.

Brunty is an experienced Cornish raiser and prefers that breed as do others,
all of which are incredibly knowledgeable.

For the record, I have raised both and plan to raise both again.

Well said, I just wanted to do a grow out journal on the colred rangers as I and alot of others here have had tons of questions and I thought I might be able to help some by doing this, not debate which is better.

For the record, at 14 days I would have been right at about 60-70 lbs of feed. I also feed 24 hrs a day never restrict them until I see that I have to.

Can we please not do any debating here on breeds, just watch them grow and ask any questions you see fit

THANK YOU AGAIN IN ADVANCE

This is a great thread. Been trying to decide on which meat bird to try. First time. Anxious to see the updates. Thanks for all the conversation.

Not saying they're better.... just a comparison for those who havn't seen both.

I'm interested in this journal as well... I can't wait until they older.

No need to be sorry. There is a group of friends here who love to
debate meat birds. It's fun but needs a thread of it's own.

Check out that link. You'll love it. The birds are so very different.

No, Rangers are a cross just like Cornish X and don't breed true. You
would get a mix of genes from both parent breeds.

That was the first question I aksed the old producers of Rangers.
