IMHO Easter eggers mainly lay variations of green. I've had some lay olive. Very rare I think to get one that lays blue, better off getting a actual blue egg layer if blue is desired. Besides the real Ameraucana (make sure you get them from someone that confirms they are laying blue, some don't) and Cream Legbars, there is also Whiting True Blues that lay blue.
And those so called 'pink' eggs, just a lighter variation of off brown, I guess they're kinda 'pink' to some people.
The Langshans supposedly lay purple but it's just the 'bloom' and ask any Langshan breeder they will say they do not.
Of course the Marans for dark chocolate eggs, and once again confirm they are actually dark, some lines lay darker than others.
I really liked the Wellsummers I had, dark brown with dark chocolate spots all over, lots of spots and speckles.
And like rebrascora said above, having a white egg layer really makes all the other colors stand out. I had a few brown leghorns and a polish for white eggs.
I used to have a colorful egg basket, pretty cool, and the kids love the green eggs. I used to give some away and always heard the kids loved the green ones.
Lol, first time I showed my dad a carton of green eggs he had never heard of them, he made a gross face and said 'they look rotten!' Lol
This place I've heard good stuff from and has colorful egg layers, she has nice birds and not far from you, Florida. She's also on here BYC but I don't remember her name on here.
