Colourful and Unusual Chicken Eggs!

My Amberlink lays large dark brown eggs... Sometimes they really make me think of Marans eggs!

My Barred Rock lays tan eggs, and they're typically large...occasionally extra large (she too, has given me a double yolker or two).

My Silver Laced Wyandotte lays light medium-sized eggs usually, if not always, decorated with white speckles all over them.

My Production Red lays modest brown eggs, usually on the smallish or medium side, but when they're not that size, then they're huge double yolkers!

And my Black Sex Link lays smaller or medium-sized eggs as well, and they're a modest brown somewhat similar to the Production Red's or on the darker side, but most, if not all the time, they have spots or speckles on them...ranging from lavender to dark brown almost like a Welsummer's.

Loving all those colours! You have a great range. Some of those look huge too!

Ok, so it’s spring and we are getting all sorts of crazy eggs at the moment!

Yes, I am in Australia :D
Thank you! I’m loving the shades of blue and green we’re getting at the moment.
Lovely assortment. :) I think part of the fun of raising chickens is getting a variety of colors and sizes. I wish my last two nonlayers would start laying so I can see what colors they will lay. It may be too late in the year for them to start though since they haven’t started yet.

Thank you :)
It really does make egg collecting so much fun.

I’d also love to see what your pullets end up laying! :D
