Columbian Rock Thread!!!!

Didnt see one so thought id start one! I love Columbian Rocks! I own one and hear their rare? Are they? What do you think of them?

They are quite rare, yes. Yard full 'o Rocks has some from good breeder stock out of Canada that are outstanding. He started with some from Dunlap hatchery that were the worst mixed breed mess and became determined to have the real deal.

i got mine for 1.99 There was at least 100 of them! haha had no idea they were rare

Yay, they are so cute!
I just bought six Columbian Rocks and four Barred Rocks from a local here in Yorktown, Virginia. I hadn't heard of Columbian Rocks and when I read they were rare, I questioned whether the gentleman really knew what he was selling. But after seeing their wing feathers coming in and comparing with online pics, I think I may have the real deal...guess I won't know for a few more weeks though (they are only 10 days old now). Crossing fingers...

I just got me a pair the other day they are 2 years old and I'm fixing to start hatching some eggs out really soon like to have about 20 hens and 2 roosters Beautiful Birds!!

Yeah, i was shocked to read that they were rare. Great birds! Mine is approaching 4 weeks old!
