Columbian Rock Thread!!!!

Does this seem like a lot of comb and wattle,(Sorry, shes 15 weeks actually) for a female CR??

At 15 weeks....seems a little early, BUT, definitely a pullet. If she's not laying yet, she will be soon. She looks to have a comb with more than the standard number of points, and that could be contributing to the size. I cannot see her tail feathers, but it looks as though she could be crossed with a delaware. Hackles should be solid black, edged in white

Here are the best pics i could get of her tail feathers. Is she bigger than the average 15 week old CR? She IS the top of the pecking order..

Your CPR's are just gorgeous! We have a small flock of 6 that came from Scott Brazinsk's flock. We just LOVE these birds. We are planning to show them this fall in the state poultry show. We just had two of the hens go broody and the bitties started hatching out yesterday. They are sitting on about 24 eggs between the two of them!

Bert - our big boy at about 6 months old!

"Blue" - he's a BLUE Columbian Plymouth Rock

I am so glad to see pix of some of my lineage in other places and SO glad to hear there is some broody tendencies. I have 1 Col Rock hen that raised one clutch this year and the one "blue columbian" hen I have is sitting and due to hatch next Sunday. Your cockerel that is standing behind "blue" in the pix with all of them by the nest boxes looks pretty good, nice chest, decent color. Some pretty good lacing on the pullets also. "Bert" should help the hackle color on your females as he is a little "over colored" but that is a GOOD thing....will help to keep your undercolor from getting too light

Keep some pix coming
