Columbian silkies?

Quote:
I agree. I am working on "Porcelains, Isabels, pastels", whatever everyone is calling them and I think they are gorgeous, but obviously they are not a true porcelain since we do not have millie fleur in silkies.

I do think the columbian color is neat though and shows up well in the silkied feathers since it is not a ornate pattern. I know they will not have the true lacing on each feather as you would see in a cochin, wyandotte, or other breed, but based on some of the pictures people have posted I think the columbian pattern looks nice on a silkie!

Here is one of my splash lemon columbian silkies. I have two. THey are still young, so not sure how their final colouring will end up. THey are getting some autosomal red on the trailing edges of their wings. You can barely see it here, but it is much more obvious now. One has better hackle colouring than the other.

Thanks for sharing the pic!

Do you have an opinion on how to start a project for the light columbian color? I would love to hear more opinions!

Hmmm, he shows for me, and obviously for rilly10. Not sure what to do here to make it visible? Anyone else have problems seeing it? It's in my project album on the club website.

Also couldn't see it.

There's nothing underneath your post. When the message is copied and pasted you can click on the link, as it is present, but the page comes up blank. Darn. But from the responses, they sounds lovely.
