This one does look immature still, but will she ever have red in her comb? I'm not familiar with silkies but the internet photos I've seen have them with black/grey faces. And finally my 18 weeker (she was supposed to be a pure Araucana but we think she’s araucana x silkie) as she has little to no red in her comb and also has feathered feet!

Yes - I have seen silkies with black combs- so I’ll see how she goes! This one does look immature still, but will she ever have red in her comb? I'm not familiar with silkies but the internet photos I've seen have them with black/grey faces.
@Sarzetta I'm soooo admiring your assortment of chooks! Your Polish is a really interesting colour. Looking forward to your photos of eggs! Your 25 and 21 weekers' combs look similar to my laying hen's. The peacombs of the hens with crests are difficult to observe, isn't it? I can't compare very well how developed is the peacomb of my other crested Araucana (hopefully pure).

Did you get all your hens from the same place, and if not, did you have any integration issues esp with the different ages?
