Hi y’all! I need help!!!

The first week of April I purchased group1 from a local breeder which was: straight run of 3 olive eggers, 3 black and blue copper Marans, and 1 silverrudds along with 2 welsummer pullets.

A day later I purchased group2 from another local breeder which consisted of three straight run lavender Ameraucana.

They were noticebly different ages but were both supposed to be a week old. I assumed group1 was close to two weeks whereas group2 was maybe shy of a week old if not younger.

They’ve grown up fine together until a twoish weeks ago when my only male from group1 (he showed himself fast; so lucky!) started crowing and pecking all the others feathers out of their lower backs and tails. This hasn’t helped the Ameraucana because their feathers are slowwwwly coming in. I tried timeouts and bluekote but he kept doing it after a week alone so he’s now getting acquainted with a new slightly older smaller flock of mine.

That being said, I need help sexing group2 but only have really good photos of their combs BUT not the best full body photos. 1. Because they are hard to photo and 2. Because they look so pitiful with their feather development. I don’t want people assuming I’m not taking care of my birds when I am. They have nothing wrong with them except damage from the only male from group1 that started bullying everyone, and because this group is younger (maybe more so than I assume). Either way Group2 just hasnt feathered out like group1. So I was hoping I could get help just from their combs. ☺️ TIA

Number 2 is male most likely. The other 2 might be female.

I like Lav Ameraucana a LOT. Birds feather at different rates and all the mini molts they do in addition to flock antics can make them look ragged sometimes. As long as you know you are providing adequate nutrition and space... (possibly parasite control), that's it. :)

Teenage cockerels are the worst. :smack

Pretty birds. :love

Yes they are getting proper care. No pests thankfully. I also figured if any were males if not all, #2 definitely was. Thank you for your input and for the compliment! I can't wait for them to get older :)
