Update; watched tv and dozed for a couple hours.Long night keeping the humidity up last night .
Checked the bator...the one who had pipped the shell not the membrane then waited 4 hours to let me know hes still kickin..... was out
BUT the other guy who was 90% zipped for hours ...(maybe 5 ot 6 now..).still in the shell .Other 2 nothing yet so i risked opening the bator fast i took him out pulled away a really dry piece of membrane near his head and he popped out.....Boom!!!

Hes resting.
He peeped loudly when he got out.Hope he will be ok .So 4 of 6 hatched now
Other 2 i dont see a crack yet but who knows.
Also First one was laying on his back when iwent in like a big fat budda couldnt get up
.Had to turn him over. HE was picking on number 2 not long after it hatched!!
Little bully first time out~
He seems way bigger than the others but he was first out so fluffed up now
Also seems to be the only one with a grey back??yellow wings
Gotta ask the breeder if they are sex linked
Well everyone accounted for and almost 11pm so shower and bedtime for me i
GREAT hatching everyone.... Oh and pics tomorrow

. I think I finally got the hatchers to hold temp.... I didn't ever think I was going to get them stablized! I have a genisis 1588 with fan, auto turner, and digital temp and humidity readout for the incubator and it is so easy I don't have to do anything to it except add water. But the Hatchers have been a different story!! One is a very old Brewer and the other is a little giant and they were very hard to get steady temps in them. If you can keep from it don't go cheap on an incubator!

Today at 3pm one of my mallards hatched. :) 3 have externally pipped along with 2 of my Chicken eggs.
A question for you experts, 1 of my mallard eggs had a dark place on narrow end of egg. The duck has internally pipped. But in last 12 hours the dark areas has spread up the egg.Almost looks purpleish.Should i be worried about this egg?

Wow you must have a large farm! I can't wait for the day to have my farm so I can have all my white leghorns, Rhode island reds, Lavender orpingtons free range!

Best of luck with your incubation process!
