Happy 45th week birthday AC!

The count down commences. 7 more weeks to your 1 year birthday also known as decision day.

C turned 46 weeks old yesterday

I got very excited this morning when she rushed around the run bock bock blocking the egg song. I rushed out to see what was going on. She got into the nest box, sniffed around, got back out. Tried another one out then returned to the first box. Unfortunately it seems she was just sniffing them.

Still no egg.

How can it be that she is 48 weeks old and still NO EGGS!

I'm wondering if she will EVER lay!

I hatched her from eggs from Gabbard Farms, but I know it's not bad breeding.

She will squat down and let me pet her, she's gotten quite friendly in her old age.

Haha maybe tomorrow, hope springs eternal.

I found a small sized soft shelled egg smooshed in the nestbox this morning. Dare I dream it is AC's first egg? It looked white, but I suppose it could be blue.

If it were hers I don't know if I could tell by the butt check thing. But I suppose time will tell.

Hopefully you'll get a hard shelled egg tommorrow And if it isn't the chicken should be okay, it happens every once and awhile.
