Companion for Bobwhite male?

We have a sweet male bobwhite who is probably lonely. He’s a house quail and I’d like to get him a female companion- but I don’t want fertilized eggs. Can I get him a button or Coturnix female to that end?

I think it would be better to get him a bob white companion IMO.

Buttons and Coturnix are to small. He will kill them. Get him another Bobwhite for a companion.
