Complete Newbie Wants to Know: Any Roos Here?

I have 2 SLW pullets that have different feathering, but look very similar to yours and I have seen pics of SLW that sometimes I guess can vary quite a bit and not all look the same and still be female, the males look very different and as someone already posted will present the male pattern around 6 wks. I'm not sure what causes the difference with the female variations but there are people on here that could probably tell you about alleles and which chromes go to what and attach to what and came from who, etc......

Are you talking about the one that has an expression sorta like a vulture circling a dead deer? She looks like that all the time, but is actually a gigantic wuss.

All of my adult hens made that face once they started laying proper. They did not approve of egg theft XD

I know I like updates myself, so here's one on the 3 little chicklettes:

You guys turned out to absolutely right - of course! - and today we got our very first egg! Super exciting for all concerned!

Funnily enough, this big beauty of an egg was laid by the little gal who used to be so dark and runty-looking. At 6 months old, she's the biggest, boldest, friendliest bird of the bunch.

Go figure.

I'd say the latter, although one of my BLRW had "mossy" feathers until she was about 18 weeks.
