Hi. I have been secretly absorbing information from these forums for some time and have decided to become a member.
Living in Thailand, things are very different, we don't get veterinary warnings, that happens by word of mouth if you're lucky (Neighbour lost all his expensive, prize fighting cocks to Fowl Pest and didn't bother to tell us. As a result we lost all our chickens although we managed to save some ducklings. The geese survived). Treatment is limited to folk lore solutions and people here are very conservative about changing ways of doing things.Took me a year to find whitewash for instance.
Looking forward to learning.

We are glad you joined our flock.
Did you have a respiratory illness go through your flock?
Just recently we had a member from Thailand inquiring about MG.

Hi David and welcome to BYC - thanks for joining us.

Here’s a link to the Articles section - https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/ There you’ll find lots of information on almost every aspect of keeping chickens - from coop building ideas, to incubating eggs.

There’s a link on the page above to the Learning Centre - it’s a great resource. If you have a specific topic in mind, just type it in the search box - there's a wealth of information on past and present threads.

Each week, various topics are discussed, which can also be a great resource - https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/topic-of-the-week-thread-archive
