Completely new, trying to figure out coop/run housing?

Do you have a better picture, maybe one from back farther? Looks cool, I'm interested in seeing more if possible!

Also, how is it predator proof?

I haven't received the one from Coops and More yet, so I can't answer on that one, but the Summerhawk Ranch one is made from really sturdy wire. I had a cooper's hawk bounce up and down on it and it didn't even scratch. Here are the two pens next to each other.

It's a great way to recycle, and when it gets wet or covered in bird poop you can compost it.
Thank you so much for posting these pictures, I'm super interested in your setup, the initial startup cost of the Eglu are so much more, this strikes me as a much lower risk purchase for our first quail trial ;).
 
Rats, I think you're right, I can't find any for sale from that manufacturer any more.

When people say quail need 1sqft apiece, do they mean the coop or the run?

They're talking space. I give mine at least twice that. The one from Coops and More is out for delivery, so I'll be able to give you an idea of how that one looks this weekend.
