Computer geeks out there? I really need help.

DO YOU HAVE SATA DRIVES ??? If you do, you will need the drivers at a particular time, namely the second time from a floppy disk specicfic for your machine. The drivers will be found on the Dell site.

I had this problem with the XP install. You also can look up the error codes on the microsoft site under the knowledge base portion for free.

Your first proublem is you have a DELL.
Ok im not so smart at this and dont know all the lingo as i did it my self,i ran several version of linux (wich are you using?)on both my kids comps at diffrent times.
all i did to change the boot to HDD was hold the DEL key when i started the comp then when it beeped let off the DEL key.And it went to the bios.
im proubly telling you something you allready know huh,and am no help at all...

I fixed it! It was my stupid DVD-rom from samsung. I aqlways hated samsung and this makes it worse. My CD rom from LG installed my XP. So you can see it was not my Dell just the cd and dvd drive.

. I have to update my BIOS. I have tried so many verison of linux and they all worked. I wanted to see why my XP and vista CD's would not load. The DVD-rom only got it partially there but when I turned it off in the BIOS and has my CD-rom as primary 1 it worked. I am backon XP so I can get my windows blinds back and all my other junk.
