confused on color! lol pics of parents and chick!

I am thinking blue... it is part of Birchen genetics I think... so blue does make sense. correct me if I am wrong folks... I am just starting my infancy understanding E black (birchen)
 
I don't know a lot about chicken genetics, but I'd assume it's just a recessive gene. Somewhere on one (or both) sides of the family there was a blue or a lavender! Whatever it is, it's super cute!

How do you know Daphne is a female? I ordered 3 straight run silkies from Ideal and I would like to know how I will know if they are roos or pullets.
 
I have a question- im a new silkie owner....and my 4 month old partridge silkie has the same coat as your "daddy bill" its not all fluffy like I had hoped.....will it get more fluffy as it gets older?
