Yes the coloration is a dead giveaway. After that first molt around 5-6 weeks, makes get black chest feathers and females salmon.

Ah okay that makes sense. If I have a pair, maybe I’ll keep the pair. :D

Though I’m liking some of the other boys too so
Lots to choose from :lau :th

she also has such a definite head stripe even still I bet you could tell as a chick she was a pullet, although that’s really not a certain if they’re hatchery.

I’d go ahead and get them with your hens. Whether you keep one or give them all away you’re doing them a service by having the hens raise them ASAP and teach them some manners.

Good point, thanks. I was gonna separate them cause the current coop isn’t big enough so I’m building another but maybe I should just move them all into the new one so they can start learning manners haha it’s gonna have a way bigger run too. Probably not a good idea to just let them be by themselves and run amuck haha

A Cockerel has short tail feathers till the others come in. Anyways I just replied and didn't mean to cause an issue. You will know soon enough..:frow

You didn’t cause any issues!! I appreciate the input and I really hope you’re right!
