Mine too. My beautiful buff bantam cochin looks like she is wearing old muddy slippers. I may have lo learn how to give the girls baths when we get past this.

Aww just the sight of the muddy furry feet made me almost cry!! My silkie's and bantie cochins are sooo sooo dirty!! I can't wait for a nice day to soak them in a nice warm soapy bath and give them a pedicure!

Last night I went out and toweled them off as best I could before roost time. I CAN"T WAIT FOR SPRING!

Hi!
I'm in Glastonbury. I have 3 RIR & 2 BR. I've had them about a year and they're doing well! I got one of those Brinsea mini advance incubators i want to try out.
Is there anyone local that has fertile eggs that i could buy? I would really like EE's but any standard size egg layers will do. I just want to try my hand at hatching.
Thanks, Gary

I have a Silver Spangled Hamburg rooster and both Ameraucana hens and EE hens, which are fertile. If you're interested, PM me.
edited to add: I'm in Suffield, only 20-25 minutes from Glastonbury.

Farmhouse5- re: looking for chicks in CT

I just got some new chicks in Kent- a really nice couple that have a mini farm- search it, Maple Valley Farm in Kent.

They breed chickens, goats, rabbits and huskies.

I think that she is out of chicks for this batch, but should have more in a few weeks. I got 2 Barred rocks, 3 Ameraucanas and 1 Welsummer from her last week.
