My 3 1/2 year old is fascinated by them, she took a nap laying on the floor in front of their brooder.
We have it in the fireplace opening (chimney is closed off, no fireplaces in this one!) since it's somewhat out of the way and we can put the firescreen up and block the tank off completely so the cats don't get TOO curious...
Tina-the brooder didn't stay clean long, I've already changed the paper towels once since they got home at 1! I have paper towels over pine shavings-I'd read somewhere that they'd eat the pine shavings if they weren't covered? Is that true, and if so how long until I can uncover the pine shavings? Once they get a little bigger I'll move them to a dog kennel brooder; for right now they're in a 10 gallon aquarium-easier to keep toasty warm than they big kennel.
Beth-supposedly they came sexed from the hatchery, only time will tell!
