Connecticut!

A friend of mine gave me this dog house last night and my plan is to convert it into a broody house for my Banty cochin. The thing is the eggs are due to hatch in a couple of days. Is it too late to move her? I still need to make some adjustment to it (door, vent etc). And yes, I know it's going to be a pain to clean.

Itinerary modification:

Went to Benedicts for chook food.
Had lunch at Bills Drive In. Yummmmm!
Randomly decided to stop at Jones Farm Winery on the way home and had a LOVERLY wine tasting while the kids played in the playroom. Hubby got me three bottles of wine, some raw milk cheese and a new kids cookbook.

Did some work on the banty coop.

Sounds like a well thought out modification. Well done!

Our family is now 5 chicks larger! We picked up our chicks this afternoon at Maple Valley Farm in Kent. Put them in the brooder to happily eat and chirp, and got to the business of cleaning the house and prepping dinner for tonight's company-to find out that they weren't coming after all! Well, now we get to enjoy a clean house, a good dinner, and watch the fuzzy butts!
Just need to figure out how to post pix now...

And here are the little fuzzy butts

:
Largest one is Cadbury, Easter Egger, hatched 5-11th
Others were hatched 5-18th: Marshmallow (Light Brahma), Peppermint Patty (Barred Rock), Toffee (Partridge Rock), Oreo (Silver Laced Wyandotte).
Fingers crossed that they're all girls!
