Connecticut!

I am looking for a good home for my 1 year old (June 4) LF Silver Laced Wyandotte.

Louise is a dependable layer, no health issues, NPIP certified, Mareks vac'd, easy to handle.

I've had her since a day old, she has decided to take a dislike to one of my other chickens and is relentless. She is fine with the rest of the flock, and the flock is fine with the chicken Louise has decided to make it her mission to kill:(

She's a gorgeous bird, possibly a good breeder (I don't have roosters). She is NOT FOR FOOD.

I live in Old Lyme, she is free to a good home. My email is [email protected]

For some reason the site is not letting me post pictures today, I do have photos.

I grabbed a bag of medicated chick starter from a local feed store. We're trying to go as GMO-free as possible, but I'd prefer to start them with the medicated stuff, and ween them on to something else after the 25 lb bag is gone. Is there anywhere local I can get GMO-free food (starter and layer) for the chicks?

Blue Seal and Agway make organic chicken starter and layer feed. Does your feel store carry either of these brands? I'm not sure where you're located but Benedict's in Monroe has it. There are Agway stores in Woodbury and North Haven too.

Hi, guys! I was wondering if anyone had a young red sex-link or barred rock cockerel that need homes.

What are you wanting them for... I have a pair of really beautiful 3/4 marans 1/4 orp cuckoo patterns boys available. One is gold, the other is silver... really lovely birds. Here is the gold boy... he carries only one barring gene. Behind him is the silver... and, of course, a cream legbar as well... how adorable is he?

Here they are all lined up... the silver farthest to the right is double barred and the one second in from the right is single barred... then the silly legbar and the gold cuckoo. I am planning to keep the double barred cuckoo and breed him back to pure marans... that will give me 7/8 marans with some out cross which I like to do for hybrid vigour. Both single bar roos are available for free if anyone is interested... bred back to copper marans you would get some single barred golden cuckoo which is the prefered right now... not sure why... but that's the way they like them... I like the lighter double barred.

I lost my sweet red sex link boy to a predator last week and just loved his temperament. Is the Legbar available too?
